Weddings

Steve has played for many weddings during his career.  His repertoire encompasses traditional trumpet voluntaries and tunes for the entry of the bride, descants to the hymns and more subdued emotional pieces for the signing of the register, all of which add grandeur and a sense of occasion to any style of service.

Any event

Events do not have to be in churches and many couples are now choosing to have their wedding as a civil ceremony in a stately home, country house or hotel.  Steve’s services for a civil ceremony are much the same as for a church wedding and he is always flexible with what music can be played.

Accompianist available

An accompanist on either organ or piano is always required.  If you don’t have one then Steve can provide his own professional accompanist, with a keyboard if necessary. This means that any requests can be rehearsed in advance of the event, so that they are fully prepared. See options for prices.

Highly experienced

Steve has had a long career as a professional trumpet player.  He studied at the Royal College of Music and has played with many leading ensembles including the CBSO, The London Bach Orchestra, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the D’Oyly Carte Opera Orchestra.  As a soloist he has performed concertos by Haydn, Hummel and Arutunian and the notoriously difficult Brandenburg Concerto No.2. He is also currently the Head of Brass and Percussion at Oakham School in Rutland.
