Description
Our Worcestershire Harpist Meredith, is an experienced, professional harpist based in Worcestershire available for weddings, private and corporate functions.
Weddings & events
Meredith is already very much in demand for weddings and other celebrations and, increasingly so for corporate events. You too, could captivate and delight your guests with a touch of subtle sophistication; the beautiful enchanting quality of the harp.
Wide repertoire
From Bach to Bollywood; the harp is acoustically designed to add a distinctive style. Meredith will tailor her extensive repertoire, including many of her own arrangements, to bring that individual touch to your special day.
Professional background
Meredith studied the Concert and Celtic harp at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with Sanchia Pielou, a founder member and principal harpist with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for fifty years and regarded as the “doyen” of the harp in Scotland. After winning the subject prize for harp and earning a glowing report in the Governors’ Recital Competition, she graduated in 1984 with a BA in Music Performance.
Acclaimed solo concerts
After highly acclaimed performances of Mozart’s Concerto for flute and harp, A Ceremony of Carols, (Britten’s solo harp and choral work), and programmes of Opera with the RSAMD’s drama department, she went on to perform Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro for harp , flute, clarinet and string quartet. This was immediately followed by an invitation from Scottish Ballet to join the orchestra as principal harpist in 1985.
*Please note that Meredith’s harp is very valuable and sensitive to temperature. She is therefore unable to perform outdoors.

Meredith was such a beautiful addition to our ceremony and drinks reception. She was very friendly, approachable and has a great repertoire. We weren’t keen on using any traditional wedding music so Meredith played a mix of a few well known classical pieces and more modern, popular music which we loved. Meredith elevated our ceremony and made it so much more elegant and memorable. Thank you Meredith!
Please pass on our thanks to Meredith for her professionalism and the wonderful music she provided on Thursday evening. All went well and we really appreciated her presence at our awards event.
Thanks again for Saturday, it was amazing. Reena is telling everyone about your playing. Thanks also for staying longer than you we’re supposed to and for learning that song from scratch too. (Hey Shona, from Ta Ra Rum Pum).
I can’t thank you enough.
We would like to thank you for playing so beautifully at our wedding. Our guests were particularly taken by how well you played the Veer Zara piece that we had requested.
We really enjoyed your performance and would like to thank you for contributing to making our day so special.
